hint fiction, anyone?

I've been thinking about this for a while, and today blooms84 encouraged me to do something about it.

anyone else fancy joining me in some Sherlock hint fiction?

maximum length: 25 words

I came across the anthology edited by Robert Swartwood during a recent trip to the USA, and I really like the idea.

My first attempt at this:

He left his riding crop in the mortuary. She kept it for next time. People shouldn't be so careless with their belongings. But he'll learn.

In the last moments before the explosion, Sherlock sees the unrecognized truth staring him in the face, learns that he has a heart to burn.

Picture this
They said a picture was worth a thousand words. This one was going to be worth at least a thousand pounds. Because Mycroft was rich.

While trying to be polite, John was careful to keep his elbows off the table; he had seen what Lestrade and Sherlock used it for.

*cackles evilly*

very sensible of him...

this one is under 140 characters so would work for shouldboverthis's sherlockslash twitterfeed.

Fast Forward
Your eyes meet his; you say "It's the shock talking." You're living with a killer, and you're on fire. The gun shakes in your hand.

Molly never expected to find herself longing for the good old days when all the handsome men were just gay, taken, or not worth it.

Using His Imagination

He can't imagine the Christmas dinners. Doesn't need to imagine what he'd say if he was dying. Never imagined anything could feel like this.
